When proofreading, your editor will identify and fix indisputable errors in spelling and grammar, and will also apply any style guide preferences to the text (spelling of names, oxford commas, etc.)

When proofreading, your editor WILL NOT address text organization or the development of plot or ideas. Your editor will also NOT be addressing any kind of wordy or awkward language as long as it is considered to be gramatically correct. An exception might be made if the passage turns out to be exceptionally bad, in which case your editor will most likely query.
